When you are moving to Nashville or Middle Tennessee, start with how you want to live.

Think About Where You Need to Be

Start with the places you will visit regularly.

That may include:

• Downtown Nashville
• Airport
• Family
• Schools where relevant
• Healthcare
• Recreation

A community may look close to Nashville on a map but create a very different daily commute.

Decide Whether You Want Urban, Suburban, or More Space

Middle Tennessee gives buyers a wide range of options.

You may prefer:

Nashville

Closer to restaurants, entertainment, employment, and urban amenities.

Mount Juliet

A suburban environment east of Nashville with newer and established residential options.

Hendersonville

Residential living north of Nashville with a strong connection to Old Hickory Lake.

Franklin or Brentwood

Southern suburban markets with distinct residential character.

Gallatin or Lebanon

More distance from Nashville in exchange for a different housing and lifestyle environment.

Old Hickory Lake is a meaningful lifestyle factor for many buyers.

Those are very different searches.

Areas farther outside Nashville may offer more new-construction choices.

But compare:
